Principal: Sharon Guepet, Ph.D.

Dr. Guepet has worked in the educational field since 1984. Her undergraduate degree in Elementary Education was earned from Our Lady of Holy Cross College in New Orleans, LA. Her Master's (1998) and Doctorate (2002) were earned from the University of Southern Mississippi.

Dr. Guepet began her career as an 8th grade math teacher with the  St. Bernard Parish School District in Louisiana. Throughout her career, she has taught 3rd, 7th , and 8th grade math from basic math to Algebra. Dr. Guepet joined the PRC School District as an 8th grade science teacher. She would later become an assistant principal at PRC Jr. High School as well as PRC Elementary School. Dr. Guepet became principal at PRC Elementary School in 2002. She was recognized as administrator of the year for the district in 2005 and is currently the principal of PRC Lower Elementary School.  

Dr. Guepet serves as an adjunct professor at William Carey University. She is responsible for teaching Master's level students in the fields of several educational programs currently being offered by the university. 

Assistant Principal: Jennifer Teal

Mrs. Jennifer Teal has been in education for 20 years. She has been in a leadership role at Pearl River Central Lower Elementary School for 10 years. 

Mrs. Teal graduated from the University of West Georgia with her Bachelor's and Master's Degrees. She completed her Specialist degree through Troy State University. Mrs. Teal is currently pursuing her doctoral degree in Educational Leadership through William Carey University. Mrs. Teal has taught first, second, and third grades, inclusion, and gifted classes in the course of her educational career.

She is also married to another Blue Devil educator, Chris Teal, who serves as Assistant Principal at Pearl River Central Middle School. They have one son, Cole Teal, who attends the middle school. 

Mrs. Teal truly loves the Pearl River County School District and appreciates being a part of the Lower Elementary and community.

Assistant Principal: Shari Franklin

Mrs. Shari Franklin is currently an assistant principal at Pearl River Central Lower Elementary in McNeil. She has been involved in the educational profession for 28 years. She has served as a classroom teacher, an instructional coach and an administrator. She chose education as a profession because she has always had a desire to make a positive impact in the lives of students, teachers and parents in the community.

Mrs. Franklin is a 1981 graduate of Pearl River Central High School. To achieve her educational goals she enrolled at the University of Southern Mississippi and obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education in 1986. In 2013 she received her M.ED in Elementary Education from William Carey University. Mrs. Franklin completed the Mississippi Alternate  Pathway to Quality School Leadership in May 2015 in order to receive her administrative license.

Mrs. Franklin taught at Singing River Elementary and at Purvis Elementary prior to returning to her hometown. She has been employed by the Pearl River County School District for 25 years.

Obtaining an administrative license has afforded Mrs. Franklin the opportunity to pursue her goal of becoming an administrator. As assistant principal in a school of 675 students, she works with teachers, students and parents to improve classroom instruction and to try to make differences in the lives of all students.

Mrs. Franklin’s most memorable moment as an educator is when she sees former students as adults and teenagers and they can relate to her activities they remember from being in her classroom that inspired them to be better students and citizens.

Mrs. Franklin is married to Mark Franklin and has three children- Mandi, Max and Mark. She has three grandchildren.
